Rintoul Street in Newtown is where I first flatted when I moved back to Wellington in 2004. It was a gorgeous old house but the hole in the ceiling in the bathroom terrified me when I was reading The House of Leaves and at one stage I saw my horrid flatmate kick Sebastian the cat.
